Today, Eagle Class were testing different materials to see which ones were the best reflectors of light. The DVD and high vis jacket seemed to be the most successful for most groups, with the black card being the least reflective. The children will use their findings to help them next week when they design and make a reflective band to wear when travelling to school to keep them safe.

World Book Day!

Wow! What amazing costumes for World Book Day! The children were so excited to talk about their costumes and the book that their character was from. We had a fun day doing some work on our class book ‘The Railway Children.’ We read more of the story, watched a part of the film and compared the children’s lives in the city to their new life in the country. The children drew some beautiful pictures to show this comparison.
Tag Rugby Session!

On Wednesday this week, Eagle class were really lucky to have a sports coach come in for a Tag Rugby session. It was a bit cold, rainy and muddy but the children loved it and joined it with great confidence and enthusiasm! There was some brilliant dodging, tagging and team work and it was really lovely to see all of the class having so much fun!
Trip to Bristol Museum

The Eagle Class blog is now up and running!
Here are a few pictures from our trip last term to Bristol Museum. The children had a great time exploring the different artefacts from Ancient Egyptian times. During the workshop, children were also allowed to handle some of these artefacts and they identified what they were used for. Have a look at some of the photos from our trip.
