VE Day Celebrations!

Jessica and her family had a lovely day celebrating VE Day on Friday. They made their own bunting and had a tea party in the garden. I love Jessica’s outfit and the Victoria sponge cake looks incredible! It looks like it was a great day! Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos.

A very creative week at home…

So many wonderful pictures of the work and activities that you have been doing at home this week. Scroll down to see what everyone has been up to.

Daisy has created some amazing artwork. It is absolutely beautiful and must have taken such a long time! I love how it has been created in the shape of a heart. Well done Daisy!

Judah was inspired by Mr Joy’s Landmark Quiz and has spent some time learning some facts about some of the famous landmarks that were featured. His favourite was the Eiffel Tower which he has made out of lego…

Joseph had a maths lesson with his grandad this week where they created a map of the downstairs of the house. He also drew a picture to show how Bath fits into the planet!

Joseph has also been working really hard on his English and grammar this week. Just look at his amazing work…

Josie has sent in some brilliant pictures that she wanted to share with the class. The whole family have worked together to paint an enchanted fairy garden in the hallway and a stained glass window! Josie has also been making posters to support our NHS and been spending lots of the time in the sunshine…

What an incredible week! Keep up the amazing work Eagle Class.

More fun learning from home

Look at how Lacey has completed this drawing to show us what the photographer is taking a photo of … it’s a rainbow tornado! What a beautiful picture! The colouring is so perfectly neat and I love the photographer’s outfit! Well done Lacey.

Jessica managed to solve the ‘sealed solution’ maths problem. She said that it has been one of her favourite tasks so far! Excellent work!

Maisie has been busy baking at home and creating some beautiful artwork. The paper craft to make the tree is incredible! I would love to have a go at that.

Joseph’s big achievement this week was completing a 1000 piece puzzle which had 15 differences from the given picture! He said it was “the hardest puzzle ever!” What an accomplishment.

Joseph and his sister have also been busy following Robert Winston’s recipe for Giant Bubbles! They then spent the whole afternoon playing with them in the garden. This looks like such great fun. If you would like to have a go at making them, you can find the recipe and instructions on our class web page.

Hansel and Gretel with a twist!

So many of you have had a go at re-writing the story of Hansel and Gretel. As I predicted, you were far more imaginative than I was with the three things that you changed. Have a read through of each other’s stories to see how the original Fairy Tale has been altered. Well done all of you; such brilliant writing.

Creative learning at home

Nathanael has been wearing his watch at home so that he can practise telling the time. He also drew a picture to show our word of the week – ‘anticipate’. What a brilliant idea. The picture perfectly shows someone anticipating something!

Joseph has continued to learn about building stable structures and has finished his final project! It looks amazing! He has clearly studied the best techniques to successfully build his model.

Cara’s super writing!

Cara sent in this picture of her amazing piece of writing that she completed in her comprehension book! I absolutely loved reading this and I’m sure you all will too. Well done Cara, you have clearly worked very hard. I hope you managed to escape the dinosaur in the end! Keep up the great work.

Joseph’s construction

After watching a programme on construction, Joseph used cocktail sticks and mini marshmallows to build his own amazing structure! He then wrote up his experiment and analysed what had worked well. He also measured the finished structure using a tape measure. I wonder if it would have been bigger if Joseph hadn’t eaten some of the marshmallows…

Learning from Home

It is so great to see the work that Eagle Class have been doing at home this week. Look at these drawings by Benjy and Maisie – so imaginative and creative! Joe has designed a fantastic pair of sunglasses to protect our eyes from the sun. I would definitely buy a pair! Super work, well done!

Sending love and positivity!

Many villages have been drawing rainbows to put up in their house windows to share love and happiness among all during this tricky time. Eagle Class today did the same. We linked our paintings to the Story of Noah in the Bible where the rainbow was a promise from God for better times to come.
